Customer Service Manager  

Theragenics’ Brachytherapy business, located in Buford, Georgia, manufactures, markets and distributes “seeds” used primarily in the minimally invasive treatment of localized prostate cancer. We are currently seeking a Customer Service Manager to join our team. 

Responsible for the daily management and leadership of the Customer Service department to ensure standards of service are met or exceeded and fulfilled in accordance with Theragenics' policies and operating procedures. Participate in the design and development of systems and/or process enhancements to meet the needs of internal and external customers. Provide on-going training and development of customer service representatives and hold team members accountable to their established responsibilities.   Track and report weekly sales performance.  Represent Customer Service Department at weekly manufacturing meetings and at management meetings.  Provide communications interface among manufacturing, sales representatives, customers and distributors. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Customer Service department to ensure orders are properly entered and verified and all functions and responsibilities completed as scheduled.
  • Manage the responsibilities of the Lead Customer Service Representative and Customer Serve Representatives.
  • Establish and ensure priorities and objectives are communicated and completed.
  • Establish domestic and international new customer accounts in database. Ensure region/country specific requirements and laws regarding licenses, certificates and/or registrations are satisfied.
  • Perform order entry and verification when required due to staffing resources or demand.
  • Familiarize customers (distributors) with appropriate product return procedures.
  • Determine and perform necessary THOR/THOR lite testing for improvements prior to launch to live system. 
  • Resolve any credit issues.
  • Define required and developmental training for Customer Service Representatives.
  • Ensure all Customer Service Representatives are trained and knowledgeable on product offerings and ordering process. Provide ongoing feedback to employees.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of customer service required.
  • Minimum of 5 years as supervisor or manager required.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry or medical device business preferred.

 KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Computer literacy including Windows environment, required; data entry experience preferred.
  • Outstanding accuracy, attention to detail, and strong concentration.
  • Composure in all situations; irreproachable telephone etiquette.
  • Able to multi-task; self-starter; organized; team-player.
  • Ability to interact with regulatory agencies such as FDA, OSHA, NRC, GDNR & ISO.

  Inventory Control Supervisor 

Theragenics’ Brachytherapy business, located in Buford, Georgia, manufactures, markets and distributes “seeds” used primarily in the minimally invasive treatment of localized prostate cancer. We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to join our team. 

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for managing the functions and individuals responsible for receiving, materials planning and scheduling, inventory management, and purchase of components, materials and supplies and warehouse operations to ensure company objectives and internal and external customer requirements are met. 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the Materials Management function for materials planning, scheduling
  • Oversee the purchase of components, materials, and supplies to ensure efficient flow of material and appropriate inventory levels while maintaining overall integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory for manufacturing.
  • Supervise the Receiving Function and oversee all receiving functions for the Bristol facility including maintaining warehouse inventory as well as receiving documentation.
  • Devise methods and policies ensuring an efficient and effective inventory control function.
  • Manage process to identify and develop appropriate sources for equipment and materials, provide necessary material controls to meet customer specifications.
  • Responsible for driving cost reductions in materials
  • Maintain operating budget compliance and develop plans for cost reductions where appropriate.
  • Deploy quality systems in department for compliance to documented procedures and to achieve improvement goals. 
  • Ensure compliance with all company, federal, state, local and country regulations including GMP and ISO13485.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times with any company information.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 EDUCATION: 

  • High School Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience     

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5  Years’ Related Experience
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems.  Sage X3 system preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with high skill of Excel.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and develop employees.
  • Proven ability to effectively work cross functionally with other departments and all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to drive for results and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, using excellent time management skills, ensuring that all deadlines are met.

 Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift  

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of personnel, methods, and activities to effectively achieve manufacturing goals which include sales, quality, and safety goals as instructed by Production Manager.  Assure compliance with all company, federal, state and local regulations.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee manufacturing job assignments to most efficiently attain production, quality, safety, profit and sales goals in a medical device work environment.
  • Work directly with other Production Supervisors to complete critical daily priorities, to ensure all orders meet our high quality standards, and are shipped on time to meet customer expectations.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under strict deadlines.
  • Develop team leaders and production employees by mentoring, training and leading by example. 
  • Conduct and document performance appraisals.
  • Responsible for interviewing and hiring employees.
  • Provide necessary training and assure employees are trained properly by most recent SOP.
  • Assure adherence of employees and work habits to comply with all company, Federal, State and Local regulations.
  • Interface with scheduling to optimize customer satisfaction of product availability and delivery.
  • Manage personnel issues in accordance with Company and legal policies.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Five years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required. Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.     

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Must display initiative to complete all production goals and sales orders. 
  • Must work toward continuous improvement.
