 Radiochemist

We are currently seeking a Radiochemist to support our Brachytherapy manufacturing operations in Buford, GA.  The Radiochemist is responsible for the timely and accurate production of chemical solutions, target plating, irradiated target plating removal, metal fusions/conversions, and chemical purification using ion columns or equal and pellet plating used in the manufacture of radioactive medical device brachytherapy "seeds" in accordance with all quality and safety procedures.  The Radiochemist will work with and be exposed to radioactive materials and must perform the work in accordance with radiation safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform non-radioactive ("cold") chemistry processes including preparation of chemical solutions and target plating and pellet pre-plating.
  • Read and analyze material at various stages of the process and document findings using various radiation detectors and associated computer software.
  • Perform radioactive ("hot") chemistry processes including irradiated target plating removal, metal fusions, chemical purification and pellet plating.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on chemistry equipment as needed including calibrations, laboratory clean-up ("cold" and "hot" laboratories, cells, glove boxes, etc.), material and equipment inventory stocking, processing apparatus, manipulator arms, etc.
  • Ensure quality records are maintained for all processes performed by technician.
  • Communicate with Chemistry Dept. team members regarding status of processing of materials.
  • Perform special duties and projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1 year bench chemistry experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment required.
  • BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field preferred.

  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently, consistent with appropriate quality standards
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated skills with detection and measurement equipment currently in use
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment
  • Ability to use manipulator arms and glove boxes
  • Good computer skills and ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Manager Quality & Regulatory Affairs

We are currently seeking a Manager of Quality & Regulatory Affairs to join our team.

Provide guidance and ensure compliance with the Quality System Regulations including FDA, ISO 13485, and applicable international regulations.  Develops and implements strategies for implementing the company's quality objectives through the activities of the department and cross-functional quality teams.   Serves as a mentor to company personnel by training in quality system requirements and the use of quality tools for continuous process improvement.  Provides guidance to internal departments on quality and regulatory compliance issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct Management Reviews and periodic Quality Team meetings and hosting external quality audits.
  • Manage the implementation of the company's quality objectives through specific improvement projects and routine processes.
  • Serve as mentor to other departmental personnel by training in QSRs and the use of quality tools for continuous improvement.  Provides guidance to other departments on quality and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Advises Engineering, Manufacturing, and other departments on applicable regulations, requirements and standards.
  • Monitors change requests for impact on regulatory submissions.  Provide updates to regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Helps maintain regulatory/technical documentation.
  • Directs the activities of all Quality department employees.
  • Trains and instructs employees company-wide in quality system requirements and company procedures.
  • Reviews and comments on the work of others to ensure compliance with quality system requirements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: 

  • B.S. Degree, in a related science or technical field or post high school degree with equivalent work experience.

    EXPERIENCE: 

  • 5+ years quality management experience working in a medical device company.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with regulatory registrations and notifications.
  • Experience in medical device industry required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Written and verbal skills must be excellent.  Must be able to create clear, concise written communications to regulators and written quality system documentation.
  • Must have project management skills with the ability to lead and participate in cross-functional new product teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that foster cooperation and commitment.
  • Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency for completing projects on schedule.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external operational and scientific personnel with varying degrees of education and experience.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple duties and projects.
  • Must be familiar with computers and able to word process documents and compile and organize data. (MS Office and other Windows based software)
  • Must possess strong knowledge of design controls.
  • Ability to delegate laterally to complete activities and reports.

Brachytherapy Sales Specialist Mid-Atlantic Territory 

We are seeking a clinician (BSN, RD, RT, PT, etc.) with 3-5 years recent clinical experience and who has a desire to start a career and be trained in medical device sales. Selected individual should reside in the Baltimore area in order to effectively cover the mid-Atlantic territory (NJ, MD, NY, VA, and DC).  The position requires air travel and overnight travel of approximately 3 nights per week.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Brachytherapy Specialist is responsible for meeting the sales goals established by executive management. This can be accomplished by maintaining and improving relationships with current customers, re-establishing sales relationships with old customers, and developing new sales opportunities with prospective customers. 

  • Provide clinical and technical information on our products to customers throughout the established territory
  • Maintain customer relationships through regular site visits and continued contact
  • Re-establish contact with previous customers to renew sales opportunities
  • Conduct market research and gather data to locate potential customers
  • Develop new sales opportunities within the established territory through networking and cold calls
  • Conduct training programs for customers
  • Represent the company at trade shows and conferences
  • Maintain understanding of our product as well as competitor products
  • Resolve concerns and complaints of customers as required
  • Provide timely and accurate sales data to Sales Manager.

EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Certified medical professional (BSN, RD, RT, PT, etc.)

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Three to five years of hands-on clinical experience.
  • Some sales experience is acceptable but not required for the position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

  • Exceptional communicator with demonstrated experience in training or presenting material.
  • Must be highly organized and flexible with the ability to prioritize.
  • Must be able to travel 60 – 70% of the time, including occasional weekend travel.
